Happy Game 5 Day everyone!
This should be a fun one.

For the record, I'm taking 4-6 on Sabathia's outs.

4 incredible hours to kick this day off! Let's hope the nightcap is equally entertaining!

NYY fan...I am oddly totally calm...if Kluber comes out and is Kluber, how mad can I be? Been such a fun ride with so much promise going forward, too.

green or gray first in relief?
Dave Cameron

Green
I doubt they use Gray unless one of the big four gets rocked.

Do you have any issues with Baker using Madson and Doolittle to get the last 6 outs with a 5 run lead and a game tomorrow? It strikes me as a cautious but reasonable decision.
Dave Cameron
8:13
Nope
They've barely pitched in a while.

Which team has improved their odds of winning compared to when the series started?

Yankees

So is the FS1 strike zone just narrow or have the umpires been calling a wide zone all series?
Dave Cameron
8:14
Would guess it's the rulebook zone.
The regular strike zone is a bit wider than the rulebook zone.

Not  an ideal start for Kluber.

If you're Tito, does somebody start warming now? Or is there another run or so of leash?
Dave Cameron
8:16
It's Kluber. Leash is a lot longer.
They don't have anyone down there besides Miller as good as Kluber first time through the order.
8:18
Okay, now that it's a commercial, a quick aside on the afternoon game.
That was one of the best postseason pitching performances I've ever seen.
Strasburg's change-up was insanely great. Reminiscent of '99 Pedro Martinez.
8:19
I don't know how much the under-the-weather thing was true, or the Nationals just telling stories, or whatever. But Strasburg has now thrown 19 postseason innings and allowed 1 earned run.
He's endured a lot of crap for the Strasburg Shutdown thing and the Nats playoff failures.
8:20
But if there's going to be a narrative about Strasburg in October now, it needs to be that he's been nothing but awesome.
8:21
And the next time someone tells you that we can measure someone's heart, character, or some other moral aspect of their being based on how they perform in the playoffs, tell that person to go jump in a lake.
