Oh yeah, I need to set my 2017 preferences!

According to the Nats' broadcast, "Statcast has never run into a wall before."

$40-$50 to park? Geez, gotta love Cleveland. Even for the World Series we parked less than a mile away and paid $20
Paul Swydan
2:45
I think the Rockies official parking lot was $12-$15. Boston is insane.

Pro tip: Parking in the surface lots around Coors Field is typically $50 to $75, sometimes as much as $100 for Opening Day. A parking ticket in Denver is $25. So . . .

Haha.

Broxton, K :(

For context, there is no paid parking in Bend, Oregon. Every spot in the city is free, all the time.

There are lots in Denver up Welton Street that blew my mind when I first moved there back in 2003. One was $1. Then I went a block north, and it went down to 50 cents. And then I went one more block and there was a 25 cent lot. For the whole day! It was like 8 blocks from my office, but I parked there because I couldn't believe it was true.
I guess times have changed.

Downside: you're in Bend, Oregon.
Dave Cameron

Visit Bend and you'll change your mind.

Coors Field, Fenway and OPACY are all adjacent to public transit! Don't pay $60 to park, take the train, people!

Porcello finishes another inning with a runner on base and a strikeout.
TJB
2:48
Yes, well, depending on how far up Welton you went in 2003, the risk of being stabbed and/or peed on was probably baked into the price.
Paul Swydan

Train takes 2+ hours from where I live. I don't live directly on the train line that pulls up to Yawkey. I like public transit, but it's not worth 2 hours to go 23 miles.

It just set in that this is the first Opening Day without Vin Scully.....
Paul Swydan
2:49
Yes, TJB, that was definitely a factor. But I only parked there during daylight hours, so I was OK.

I will be in Bend, Sunriver, for the PGA National Club Professional Championship in June to watch my boy play. I am sure it is beautiful, can't wait.

Is there anything better than an Italian sausage from one of the Fenway sausage carts before the home opener?
Dave Cameron
2:50
Sunriver is like 20 miles south, for the record.
Jack
2:51
When are we getting parking positional power rankings?
Paul Swydan
2:51
No. You go to the carts outside the gates, right? John Henry has enough money.

Thoughts on Piscotty extension?
Dave Cameron
2:51
Typical good-deal-for-team extension. Piscotty is older so I get why he wasn't banking on a big FA deal, but he would have done a lot better going year to year.

ummm do you not drink on the T paul? people say new englanders aren't friendly, get on the last commuter out of south station with a 12 pack and you'll see the best (and terrible worst) of us
Paul Swydan
2:52
I don't live on the South Station lines anymore, sadly.

Good thing the Nats ran up the starter's pitch count! Now they get to face David Phelps for more of the game.

Bend has some fantastic white water rafting if you're into that
Paul Swydan
2:53
And wakeboarding too, right Dave?

I know it's all minuscule, but for fun, which first game will have the biggest impact on playoff odds? SEA v HOU? STL v CHI?
Dave Cameron
2:53
TOR/BAL.
Bill
2:53
82 pitches for Volquez... kind of a quick hook?

Bend, OR is amazing....as close to Disneyland for adults as it gets...well, adults that don't find Vegas to be Disneyland, that is
Dave Cameron

Marlins said they're going to have quick hooks on SPs.
