I am a high school senior, and my father and I are both big baseball fans. The problem is that whenever we have a discussion about a pitcher, he will say " well he only won x games, so he isnt giving his team a chance to win, and therefore is not good". How do I convince him that wins do not repersent how often a pitcher gave his team a chance to win or not, and that there are much better ways to evaluate pitchers performance than wins?I have tried many times and each time we end up at an impasse. (For context, my father grew up watching and rooting for the Orioles of the late 60's and early 70's where they had 4 20 game winners on the staff)

Save for the Bregman swing, Astros hitters have looked like they have no idea what they should be looking for in 11 innings
