Reports out of Minnesota seem to indicate that Buxton actually looked different in AAA. Sometimes guys are a little more willing to try something different when the games "don't matter." Maybe he found something

What exactly is bat speed? Is it simply the peak velocity of the bat that a hitter can achieve with his swing?

In a literal sense, yeah. When scouts talk about it, it's likely being referred to in combination with bat control, being able to recognize and catch up to inside fastballs, etc

I don't think I ever told anyone to "hold on" as that implies I would've answered a fantasy question, which I doubt
I simply pointed out that he is a historically streaky hitter, and that this year's streak wasn't far off from ones he's recovered from in the past
