Good question. Dropping attendance does two things: It shows ownership that fans aren't happy with the product on the field ... and reduces revenue needed to improve it. I do know that drops in attendance definitely get ownership's attention, so you'd have to think something will be done after two seasons like these last two.

Do you think that Hurdle is a good manager? Remember he hasn't had many winning seasons in his career and I for one hope he leaves after the season.

I think he's a better manager than he gets credit for, and I think he has improved since he got here. His use of the bullpen is generally solid, and I think he has the ear of the clubhouse. While I understand his reasoning behind resting players to keep them fresh, I also see the need to get better lineups on the field to stay in contention, because if they're fresh in September but the team is already out of the race that might not help.

Could be as soon as today. He went through a full workout yesterday and told Stephen Nesbitt he hoped to be activated this afternoon.

Cervelli really confuses me. You never know what you are going to get from him offensively. For 2 months he was terrible, then in June and part of July he was red hot, now he can't buy a hit. In 2015 he was consistently good the whole season. What is up with him and his offensive struggles?

This year, health has played a role. His foot bugged him, then he had a sinus-related thing, then a concussion with re-occurring symptoms.
