If you look at this team, despite injuries, suspensions, etc, you have to admit that they look unenthusiastic at the plate and in the field.  The pitchers seem to have intensity, but everyone looks pretty lethargic the rest of the time.  Who do you think that reflects most upon?  Is it the manager, the GM, or simply, the players?

I try to be cautious when interpreting a player's feelings from their body language, though sometimes it shines through. The players are the ones responsible for their effort; even if they are upset at the manager or GM for whatever reason, they still control their actions on the field. So it's hand-in-hand, and it's not, if that makes sense, and I know it doesn't. Sorry, MjB.

What do you think was the reason that after a 12-2 run and getting to within 2 games of Milwaukee did the front office not do anything to help the current team. We will never know where we would be with a combination of Quintana, Granderson, Walker and or J Bruce.

That's a good question. The front office could have looked at their internal projections and decided they weren't going to win the division even with adding one of those guys; the drop in attendance could have them in a less-than-ideal financial situation and ownership decided they didn't want to add payroll; but even then, they didn't retool for next year either.

Bill, how much more of Huntington does this organization have to endure?  Poor drafting & development and the lack of major league ready position players after 10 years is enough.  Any business man, even a cheap skate, has to realize this GM has failed.  In your opinion, is this GM on his way out?

In the literal sense of the phrase, Huntington might be, because his option for 2018 has not been picked up and we're a month from the deadline to do so. It's easy to forget he assembled rosters that got the Pirates to 94, 88 and 98 wins and three playoff appearances (I know he inherited Walker and McCutchen) but yes, the best wave of prospects is in the majors now.
That's it for today, we'll do this again next week, once again before a Cubs game. Thanks for all the questions!
