Can you explain for the simple minded, what OPS+ and wRC are?

Sure. OPS+ is basically a park neutral version of OPS. For example, Comparing Charlie Blackmon's plain OPS to Hunter Pence's isn't fair because Blackmon plays at the most hitter friendly park and Pence is at the least friendly
so the difference between their OPS' is overstated
OPS+ corrects for that using park factors
We use wOBA here at FanGraphs though. We think it's much better :)

wRC stands for weighted runs created. Basically, we turn all events (singles, doubles, etc.) into a run value. I forget the exact values and they change a little each year.
