Hey folks, let's get down to business. First, I need to alert the twitters
Fat Steve

Who is cooler - you or Eno? Please show your work.
Brad Johnson
4:02
Well... Eno knows a LOT about beer
Which I think answers the question

Curious your thoughts on Z. Godley's last couple starts (SD & SFG). Both starts his pitches just looked flat, wearing down or something more? Do you see him as a Top 40 SP next year?
Brad Johnson
4:03
tbh, I didn't watch these last couple starts so I can't comment on that
It's quite possible he's tiring out since those should have been two of his easiest outings
He's an easy top 40 SP

How much emphasis do you put on having elite players, especially in a relatively shallow league (12 teams, shallow rosters)? Is a stars and scrubs approach more beneficial since the scrubs should be relatively decent?
Brad Johnson
4:03
It tends to be a year-to-year thing
This year, it was much better to patch with Yonder Alonsos than pay for a balanced team
4:04
That's often true in a 12 team format, especially without MI/CI/5OF
Fat Steve
4:04
Is there any separation between Kershaw, Scherzer, Sale and Kluber for next year? Or should SP be viewed as that group and then everyone else?
Brad Johnson
4:04
I'm still giving a big edge to Kershaw.
Others may disagree. I may even change my mind in the next 4 months

You like Brandon Woodruff as a streaming option tomorrow?
Brad Johnson
4:05
Yep, he's on my list of about 10 or 12 guys who look streamable
he's somewhere near the top of said list

Championship week and my opponent and I both have 1 transaction remaining. With a similar number of projected starts, do I use it now to get a 2 start week (Mengden or Bridwell) or wait to see if I need help in a particular place later in the week?
Brad Johnson
4:05
I think you wait because those second starts may turn into bullpen games anyway
J.D. Martin
4:05
Which surprisingly productive catcher has a better chance of keeping it up next year, Chirinos or Flowers?
Brad Johnson
4:06
Chirinos isn't doing anything unusual for him
He's always been a decent fantasy guy - it's just a matter of playing time
so I think he's the better bet of the two

Looking at waiver wire SPs in my NL-Only league for the final series, chasing Ws to gain points, and at least not lose ground in ratios (3.96/1.26) and Ks (I'm +17). Can fill 3 spots.  Suter (Cin) and Stratton (SD) look like the best available, and from there, I’m choosing from Corbin (@KC), Perdomo (@SF), AJCole (Pit), Lively (NYM), Pivetta (NYM), Romano (@Mil), Gohara (@Mia), and Brault/Nova (both @Wsh).  Which, if any, do you trust for a good shot at a win with roughly 4.00/1.25 ratios or better? (plan B is load up on the best available low-ratio, high K/9 RPs).
Brad Johnson
4:06
I think Corbin is the guy I'd go with
A. Reitz

V. Robles sure does look exciting. Think he has a chance to make the opening day roster in 18, or likely goes down for more seasoning?  Dexter Fowler a decent comp for him?
Brad Johnson
4:07
I do think there's a decent chance he's an Opening Day starter
4:08
The Nats probably prefer Taylor in a 4th/5th OFer role which seems sensible
Werth is probably getting to the point where he's best as a half time player too
It'll come down to Spring Training performance and any injuries that crop up though
Remember, they'll get Adam Eaton back

Y. Darvish has been lights out his last 3 starts...good time to get hot. Still view him as a Top 10ish SP, or more of a Top 20?
Brad Johnson
4:09
I think he's inside the top 10. Let's see where he lands. It shouldn't have too much effect on his value, but the NL West would be better than the AL East (for example)

In a heavyweight fight in the second week of my league's h2h points championship. All I know is that win or lose, I'm gonna be real sad when fantasy baseball goes back in to hibernation for the winter
Brad Johnson
4:10
Indeed. Luckily, half my leagues are very active in the offseason. That'll keep me going. You should get some good, active dynasties to feed your addiction

I need to make a choice between Carlos Martinez vs CHC or Josh Tomlin vs MIN tonight. Who would you start?

What round do you see Gary Sanchez drafted in? Clear number 1 fantasy catcher?
Brad Johnson

Yea, he's definitely #1. Sorry Buster.
