I hate predicting careers but, it feels like Judge is about to go on a 10 year run we've never seen in the sport (excluding steroid era) in terms of pure power output. Am I imagining this?
Brad Johnson
Try that link
I don't think Judge will be quite as blind as Ryan Howard, but I wouldn't bet on 25 year old rookies to break baseball

Is it suicide to start Urena at Coors tonight?
Brad Johnson
4:46
Ayup

I can't help but look at G. Bird's minor league numbers, splits and approach w/ that launch angle and that home park and think he's destined for stardom or at the very least, perennial all star. Your thoughts? Health, seems to be the only thing standing in his way.
Brad Johnson
4:46
That and hitting the baseball. MLB pitchers eat him alive. He has some adjustments to make
4:47
If he becomes a perennial All Star, his jersey will have more to do with it than his talent relative to other 1B

Do the reds bring up Senzel early next year.
Brad Johnson
4:47
Possibly. I don't see any reason for them to rush. Suarez is an extension candidate, and he's unlikely to slide back to SS or 2B
2B is at least possible though
Sonny

What do I do with Jose Martinez? In the finals and could keep him cheap but with Olson, Moncada and others going down I need bats
Brad Johnson
4:48
Martinez will be a headache for owners in deep keeper leagues
really need the Cardinals to set him free
another article in that series

As a Cardinals fan, I can't help but think S. Piscotty's personal situation (Mother was diagnosed w/ ALS early in the season) contributed to a lot of his struggles. Still think he's a Top 40 OF or did his rookie season cloud my judgement a bit.
Brad Johnson
4:49
With Piscotty not joining the power parade this year, my outlook is definitely down. I do think he'll return to his previous production, it's just that it's no longer top 40 quality
The Man With No Name
4:49
Gyorko or DeJong in Ottoneu 4x4 for 2018?
Brad Johnson
4:49
DeJong
The Man With No Name

Is Contreras a top 5 catcher next year?
Brad Johnson
4:50
Easy
I'll eat hat on this one, I liked Alex Avila more than Contreras around mid-season
Pretty sure Contreras will be catcher #3
Flojo
4:50
20 Team Dynasty, M. Franco or R. Healy?
Brad Johnson
4:50
Ooh, that's a fun bet
4:51
I'd go after Franco's ceiling, but he could run out of a job very soon
I still think he's Edwin Encarnacion
Man

Is Francis Martes still a good starter long term?
Brad Johnson
4:52
Teams have become less and less patient about developing starters. He might find himself stuck in the bullpen if the command doesn't improve quickly

Thoughts on I. Happ in 2018 and beyond? Moved quick through the Cubs system w/ really nice splits. + pop at 2B w/ OF eligibility. Feels kind of like Kipnis to me before he took off. Your thoughts?
Brad Johnson
4:52
I'm a huge fan of Happ as an affordable breakout candidate
feels like there could be some dissatisfied owners to prey upon
Playing for the Trophy
4:52
Need ERA, W, K - Rank these SPs: Lively @ PHI,    Lugo @PHI, Sabathia TOR,    Boyd @ MIN,    Anibal Sanchez @KC, @MIN Bridwell SEA, @CHW.
Brad Johnson
4:53
Oh god... Bridwell and Sabathia are startable
Maybe Lively will help his cause enough for a win. He's almost more valuable as a hitter
Pablo
4:53
Is Tom Murphy ever going to be the primary catcher in Colorado? I've been holding for a couple years in a Dynasty hoping to at least get something like one of Wilin Rosario's good years.
Brad Johnson
4:54
He'll compete for the job next spring. I've been out for a couple years now. Doesn't make enough contact
Lost
4:54
Brad, I lost my fantasy H2H Championship. Where do I go from here?
Brad Johnson
4:54
I understand spirits can help with loss
