Should the Tigers trade fulmer?
Steve Adams
4:24
Why sell low with his value down coming off elbow surgery?
DarrinP
4:25
Best chance to repeat his breakout 2017....Whit Merrifield or Travis Shaw?
Steve Adams
4:25
I think they'll both be above-average regulars in 2018. I don't see either one's 2017 success as some kind of fluke.
Ben K.
4:25
Is there any AL team that would allow Otani to DH?
Steve Adams
4:27
I doubt he'll DH six days a week anywhere, but maybe someone will let him DH 3-4 times a week, I do wonder how long he'll be allowed to continue doing both regularly. If he strains a hammy running the bases or something, it's going to be a pretty big deterrent.

Will Rhys Hoskins or Luke Weaver have a better year next year? Both were outstanding in small samples this season.-
Steve Adams
4:28
You're expecting either of them to do MORE in 2017? That's asking a bit much isn't it?
Tom
4:28
Are Koehler and Pillar premier non-tender candidates? Or the Jays will look to keep Pillar for his D only ?
Steve Adams
4:29
Koehler sure. There's zero chance Pillar is non-tendered.

Are we looking at an extended postseason absence right now?
Steve Adams
4:30
I don't think Kansas City's going to be back there for a bit. Like I said earlier, if they get huge rebounds from Hammel, Moss, Maurer, Kennedy... it's possible they flirt with .500 enough to make a 2017 Twins-style run, but even that seems overly optimistic to me. I'll reserve full judgment until the offseason is complete of course, but it's not looking good

Did Jorden Montgomery do enough to ensure a spot in the rotation next year, in your opinion?
Steve Adams
4:34
First off, the "thumbs down" became one of the best battle/rally cries in recent memory ha. Beyond that, yeah I think Montgomery can be penciled in and expected to give the Yanks more innings next year. They'll still need to add a starter this winter, but with Severino, Gray and Montgomery all in place, they're in better shape than they looked like they'd be heading into the year
So You're Sayin There's A Chance

Yankees in 5??
Steve Adams
4:34
I can't bet against Klubot, sorry.

4:35
Assuming Cozart moves on, who do you think the Reds turn to a short?
Steve Adams
4:35
Could give it to Peraza and hope Herrera can contribute at second base in 2018. I don't think they'll make a marquee addition there though.

4:36
Who will be calling the Orioles about Trumbo this offseason?
Steve Adams
4:36
Probably like 15 teams but the Orioles don't seem remotely inclined to trade him.
Jason
4:36
Will the Mets trade or dump Harvey?
Steve Adams
4:37
I don't really see why they wouldn't just keep him and hope for better health and results. It's probably going to cost less than $6MM to find out... that's what Derek Holland got in free agency last year, so it's not like they could use that cash to bring in any kind of sure thing.
Matt E
4:38
*and hope Peraza can contribute at short. Banking on a lot there!
Steve Adams
4:39
Yeah it's a "cross your fingers" situation for both players if they go Peraza and Herrera up the middle, but they might as well try to see if it can work.

Next step in Minnesota? Does this season finally  bring some kind of Chris Archer type pitcher
Steve Adams
4:40
Bringing in someone like Archer isn't easy for any team -- and the Twins' farm is solid but not elite. I don't think they're going to empty the top ranks for a starter, but I do think they'll add at least 2-3 new arms to the staff, between the rotation and the 'pen.

Are the Nats in the market for a frontline catcher next year, or do they stick with Wieters as their main guy?
Steve Adams
4:41
I don't see how Wieters opts out of his current deal, so I have to think it's him once again
Ron Gardenhire
4:41
Why is my name not coming up in managerial vacancy buzz?
Steve Adams
4:42
I'm sure it will. It's early still. The Tigers supposedly started with a list of like 50 candidates. It'd be weird if Gardenhire wasn't among them.
Hal Steinbrenner
4:43
Who leaves this offseason, Cashman or Giardi?
Steve Adams
4:43
Girardi before Cashman
Johnny
4:43
What about Scooter Gennett in Cincy? More likely he's at 2B rather than Herrera, who's barely seen healthy time in AAA (and kinda sucked, at that). I feel like it'll be Peraza at SS, Gennett at 2B until Senzel is ready, with either Suarez moving to SS, or Senzel taking over 2B
Steve Adams
4:44
Full disclosure -- I just had a brain lapse with Scooter. He'll be at 2B I'm sure, though I question his ability to repeat 2017.
Las Vegas 51s
4:44
With the Mets leaving and a new stadium just approved for Summerlin, what happens to me?
Steve Adams
4:45
I haven't looked at this much yet, but I'd imagine they'll just land with another team. Getting out of Vegas was a huge win for the Mets though.

Any chance the Giants deal Posey? Worst record in baseball and one of the worst farm systems
Steve Adams
4:46
Bobby Evans and Brian Sabean have both said they intend to go for it in 2018. Trading Posey won't be in the cards.
Bill
4:47
Does lane Adams deserve a spot in the braves outfield next year or is he still realistically a 4th of?
Steve Adams
4:47
He's a fourth OF type of guy, which isn't a knock on him, but I don't think he's a starter for a contending club.
