No. People always ask these types of questions but I don't run Steamer so I can't contrast approaches.

It's like asking me "Why do you like yogurt more than Gustav Mahler?" I don't know him, I'm not him, and he died 65 years before I was born so without knowledge of his reasoning, I would only know my increased love of yogurt, not the underlying causes that would lead to him liking it less than I do.

Looking at Dan Straily's numbers last year, BR gave him 4.3 WAR, while FG had him at 1.2. Is this 3 win difference due entirely to the 1.12 difference between his ERA and FIP? Kind of striking.

With players with clear, likely roles in the MLB, I'm more aggressive at telling ZiPS to consider them a full-time starter or reliever.
