How much of Heyward's value would be negated by him playing center field as opposed to right? Going off that, how necessary do you think a Soler deal is this offseason? Thanks Dan

I don't think much. COF-->CF moves tend to cost 10 runs a year relative to average at the position, with a differing spread based on speed of the corner outfield. ZiPS thinks Heyward will be decently above-average in center - he's not a slow guy.

I usually only release projections early if there's some relevant news angle or slant that makes the projection interesting for me

Cubs fans seem to believe that the 'talk' about Schwarber playing any defensive position is just going to take some time.. Should the Cubs forget that poor lie and make a deal that send the big bat to the AL where he can be a DH and brings back the CF or TORP they need?

Depends on the deal. Any player is tradable in the right deal and non-tradable in the wrong one.. I don't think they have a CF problem.

If a team signs Desmond and puts him in the outfield should it work out differently than Hanley did last year?

I don't think it's a great comaprison. Hanley was way worse in left than you'd expect. But in Desmond's case, there's no point to signing him if you're not plaing him in the infield
