I certainly don't expect something worse, that would be stupid.
If I thought Yonder Alonso's rest-of-season projection was WORSE than it was 6 weeks ago, one of you guys should beat me with a shovel.

No team relies on just having a bunch of above-average players and without superstars as the Cards do

I've never said that, I'm very careful when I word things.

I maintain that at the professional *baseball* level, there is no evidence that a steroid suspension or documented steroid use has had any effect on future proejctions.
Players in that group have *no* tendency as a group to underperform after or overperform before. They have had *no* tendency to have unusual career curves as a group, either.
They have no tendency to develop unexpectedly as prospects or decline less.

In baseball at least, the direct impact of steroid use on performance is VERY scant.
Whether you look at major leaguers or all players busted.
