I don't think it's a matchup problem.  Head-to-head really doesn't provide any predictive value above-and-beyond what the team records do.
The team-team interactions just aren't as complex as they are in football or basketball.

I think it's possible, if they follow through in their threats to trim payroll.
Should they?  I'm not sure that's a good idea.
If he gets 1/6 or something, that's well in-line with a pillow contract.

No, I believe it would be less.
Britton's trade value should only be a little bit more than Wade Davis's was over the winter as he came with the same kind of questions (but an extra pennant race)

Good day Dan, what do you think the punishment will be, if any, for the Red Sox with #AppleGate? Also, if you had not seen, there is footage shown back in June of the Yankees watching live footage from their game against the Angels in Anaheim. Isn't this considered illegal use of technology too?

I don't think there will be punishment unless something more comes to light.
Baseball really needs to firm up their technology rules.
