Team announcement said STL sending cash in the deal. Mike Salk, local Seattle radio guy who is pretty plugged in, tweeted that it sounds like M's will be on hook for about $12M per year.

If they get him at something like 3/40 going forward, nothing wrong with that.

He's really fast. He looks like a good defensive SS. But the bat has a lot of legitimate question marks.

Rosario definitely needs to sort out his pitch recognition, take a few walks and cut down on the Ks, but his power is evident and his swing looks effortless. I'd bank on him sorting it out, but 2018 will have some peaks and valleys.

His power is not evident. 86 mph average exit velo, 90 mph on fly balls, only 24% of his batted balls are 95+.

With that profile, you have to make a lot of contact. He doesn't, yet. Maybe he will. And his speed gives him a margin for error. But the high-K/low-power combo is super risky, and that's Rosario right now.

Bat looks incredibly special. Acuna obviously crushing high-level pitching too, but he might be more of a guy who is very good at a lot of things, while Vlad could be the best hitter in baseball.
