Good afternoon and welcome back to the second half of the season. Let's begin
ryanh
2:00
do you think the team will figure out a way to solve its redzone issues.
Ed Bouchette
2:00
With all that talent, I'm surprised there even ARE red zone issues. So, yes, I would expect them to improve down there
JJ
2:01
Do you think the past two Steeler drafts (five starters) are the two best back-to-back drafts since maybe the 70's?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
That's something I'd have to research and I don't hve time in this chat. Looking quickly, 2006 and 2007 were, for the most part, good ans was 2010 and 2011. In 2010 they got AB, Pouncey, Worilds, E. Sanders and in 2011 came back with Cam Heyward, Marcus Gilbert
Troy
2:05
Do you expect to see Bryant involved early this week to attempt to get him back into a rythm?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Mike Tomlin said today he will play. We'll see how much, but I would expect a normal workload
GjSteel

Hi Ed...what is in your opinion the most important area the Steelers need to improve on to go FAR in the playoffs?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
I would say it is their own passing game and creating turnovers
Steve in VA
2:06
What are the keys to the Steelers scoring more touchdowns? On paper at least, the current mediocrity is beyond disappointing (although to be 6-2 anyway is heartening).
Ed Bouchette
2:06
They need to improve inside the 20 or red zone, which has been a hot topic lately. They surely have the talent to improve down there
Nick
2:07
Why don't the Steelers try Martavis Bryant as a KR?  They like big bodies at that position and he is very big and fast.  Just another way to get him touches and make him happy.  The result couldn't be more pedestrian than it is now.
Ed Bouchette
2:07
I don't know that he's every returned kicks at any level and kickoff returns are overrated, they just don't happen around the league much anymore
So Cal Steeler Fan

Ed...thanks for all of your great work. I have a friend who blames Tomlin for all of the things that go wrong for the Steelers but never gives him credit for the things that go right. Can't have it both ways. Any advice?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
No because you cannot convince the dumb
fhuds3

Ed Given our successful first half of the season how do you project the Steelers second galf record.
Ed Bouchette
2:09
On KDKA-TV the other day, I said 6-2. Others were more optimistic at 7-1.
Ryan
2:09
What's your prediction for sacks at the end of the regular season for Watt? I'm going with 8. Also do you think as ESPN does he gets DROY?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
I haven't given either much thought because sacks are tough to predict and I  really don't care about rookies of the year. He's having a nice season. He has 4 sacks in the first half so 8 would be a reasonable guess.
Scott in Dallas
2:10
IF Bryant gets his head on straight now that he is here for the rest of the season will Haley/Ben work to scheme him into the game plan and then be able to get the ball to him?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
I think that's what they were trying to do in the first half of the season.
Joe
2:11
Do you think Bryant's lack of catches so far has more to do with his play, Ben's play or the play calling?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
I think it probably is a combination, but him missing all of last season probably did not help him get off to a grand start in this one
fhuds3
2:11
How would you rate Shazier's season thus far?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
Defensive player of the year candidate
Brady from South Dakota
2:12
What are the chances the Sunday night game vs the Packers gets flexed to a 1pm start?
Ed Bouchette
2:12
I have my fingers crossed. Go Bears!
Troy
2:12
When will we start playing Steelers smash mouth football in short yardage and goal line situations?
Ed Bouchette
2:13
I assume you mean on offense, since they did just that on defense in their most recent game in Detroit. Don't know if you want smash mouth down there on offense, but whatever they do it has to improve
Wade from Nashville, TN
2:13
I’m a big Steeler fan from Tennessee....In your opinion, will Big Ben be considered the greatest Steeler QB to date or is that still Bradshaw?  Ben probably the better pure QB, but Bradshaw has the rings.
Ed Bouchette
2:13
Bradshaw also had some of the greatest talent around him ever assembled in the NFL. It also was a different game back then.
Joe
2:13
Will Sutton be activated from IR, and if so, who will be cut or replaced?
Ed Bouchette
2:14
I think they'd like to have him on the roster so he does not miss an entire year of practice. It does not mean they have to cut a DB in order to add him; they can do it elsewhere

2 weeks ago that big opening play and big game in general by JuJu seemed to me like the team was trying to send a message to Martavis. Did he get the message?
Ed Bouchette
2:15
That message was sent when Mike Tomlin decided Bryant would not play. He will play this week after 2 good weeks of practice
Scott
2:16
Using Bell as much as they do may have negative consequences. Thoughts?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
Not using him as often as they do might too.
CK
2:16
Does Sutton fit in any plans that do not involve an injury?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
I don't know about this season, other than adding him to the roster. In the future, very much so
Jokomo
2:17
Ed, you tweeted that Coach Tomlin mentioned more work for Joshua Dobbs. Did he elaborate on what that meant?
