How much will the Phillies inactivity at the deadline hurt them? They looked poised to head up towards .500 next year and be real contenders in 2018. Does this alter the timeline at all?

Jeanmar Gomez probably would have gotten them a better return than Jeremy Hellickson, which is super weird to me. They probably just didn't get a great offer for Hellickson and figured maybe they can extend him to be a back end guy.

Over the last calendar year JBJ is 13th in wOBA. Would you consider him established? I still struggle to view him as a top hitter (and projections aren't buying his recent star level play).

I've seen some work that tries to track 3B coaches by runs scored against running ability of men on base. It's not consistent year to year--too much randomness. I suspect much depends on whether players trust a coach--if they start ignoring him, he's got to go.
