Dunno, it was always a really good slider and missing other components, so I think early success was a little misleading. Never had the velo of a Robbie Ray or the command of Good Justin Masterson. It's hard to get by with just a slider.

With a 9 game lead, I think the Nats should run a bullpen start every 5th day. Line up Petit, Ross, Giolito, Lopez, and Cole for 1-2 innings each and figure out who's best for the postseason bullpen. Thoughts?

Does Thor have any shot at the Cy Young? He currently leads the NL in WAR for pitchers (tied with Fernandez). Maybe a dramatic start or two that gets the Mets into the WC game puts him over the hump?

He's the WAR leader but Hendricks has the ERA and Scherzer the Ks/Wins/Volume argument. Will need to do something to jump over those two.
