NL MVP: could you list your top 3 in order? I can't.
Eno Sarris
1:26
War says Bryant Rendon Votto. heard a lot of love for Arenado, Blackmon, and Stanton. Goldy in the mix. Corey Seager right there. Gonna be a lot ink spilled on this one. Glad I have NL RoY vote.

Gun to head without real studying: Kris Bryant, Charlie Blackmon, Joey Votto, Nolan Arenado, Giancarlo Stanton, Paul Goldschmidt

What outfield bats are you talking about in the Angels Farm System?  I thought the Angels had no prospects
Eno Sarris

people excited about Jo Adell, they just drafted him though. Jahmai Jones doing well.

Cozart has been *too* good this year right? no way he can repeat? What does a team signing him this offseason hope to get? Expecting a .950+ ops is crazy right?
Eno Sarris

I bet he goes back to Reds.

Rendon & seager seem absurd...teams win by a mile without them (and their stats are so nice because their teams are so good). Why do they get so much attention for the award?
Eno Sarris
1:29
Having players on base does lead to better outcomes, even in advanced stats. I wonder how to look at that and tease it out.

Why is nobody talking about the NL Cy Young race? I think it comes down to Kershaw vs Scherzer, but I think it will be a coing flip. Who would you pick? Who do you think wins?
Eno Sarris

If Kershaw is in there, then Strasburg is in there too. But Max has thirty innings on them, I guess that's why we don't hear as much.

Gohara, Tomlin, and if you need another, Taillon.

Am I baseball's MVP?  45 HR, 100+ RBI, 80+ runs, .306 BA.  Too bad I didn't play in one league all season long.

Defense not a strong suit either.

Any surprises you see being left off of playoff rosters?
Eno Sarris
1:33
Danny Salazar seems close. A little surprised about Gonzo but the shoulder is hurting I guess.

Prediction for where Ohtani lands?

Yankees.

All this talk about the MVP, I'm more interested in the LVP race. Is it Pujols? Maikel Franco? CarGo? Alcides Escobar?
Eno Sarris
1:35
If you factor in contract and team need/standings situation, hard not to stare a hole into Pujols. Which is nuts because that dude was everything when he first came up. No Ks, all BBs, so much power to all fields. He was so awesome.
Good team bias
1:35
Hitters on good teams, especially good offenses, have a very real advantage in stats since they face worse relievers (more mop up guys, fewer closers) that players on average or bad teams
Eno Sarris
1:36
There's a way to tease it out some: strength of competition. We can do that. But I was also talking about how outcomes are better with people on base, and having people on base hurts the ability of the defending team to shift...

Konerko, Iguchi, Uribe, Crede

If the MVP needs to be on a playoff team, than so should the LVP. It's Matt Weiters

If Pujols were a free agent at the end of the 2017 season, would anyone offer him a major league contract? Would his situation be more desirable to have on your team than Bautista, simply because he's a first ballot HOF'er, or is the production simply too awful?
Eno Sarris
1:36
I think he'd still get one of those 1/7, 2/15 type deals.
1:37
Okay guys, gotta get back to real work! Thanks for hanging out. Next week this time... playoff ball!!
