How can Tomlin defend his challenges on Sunday? Ray Charles saw the ball hit the ground on the throw to AB.

I agree. Admit you goofed. Or that someone did. It's OK.

I believe Marty Morningweg earned a game ball for the Steelers win over Baltimore. Had he stuck to the outside zone runs a bit more the Steelers would be 2-3. Do you agree?

Of Ben's 3 picks, two were tipped and Jesse should/could have come back to the ball to prevent another.  What say you?

It's football. Stuff happens. Excuses.

Ben does not seem to do a lot of film study of opponents compared to his peers. Brady, Manning did a ton. I don't think he's a compulsive worker on his game and these habits are showing up as he gets older. Agree?
Gerry Dulac
11:22
How do you know this?
Brice
11:23
Gerry, apologize for putting Ed name in first question. Watching the All-22 tape, Martavis is getting open, and Ben is for whatever reason not able to get him the ball. Do you think this is O-Line not holding up long enough to push the ball downfield, or is Ben looking these plays off too early?
Gerry Dulac
11:24
I don't think protection is the problem. And other critics complain he is staring down receivers. Easy to nit-pick when you lose. he played poorly against Jax. He knows it. His teammates know it. It happens.

Why is Bryant being used so much in the horizontal passing game? He's best with intermediate to deep routes.

As a die hard Steelers fans the pattern under Tomlin is fairly easy to read , Example we Play well Against Ravens then no show against a team we should beat and now we go to KC and will probably silence the critics with a win.....Seems like a lot of ups and downs with Tomlins when it comes to Schedules...Thoughts ?
Gerry Dulac
11:27
Yeah, it also looks like a lot of wins, a lot of postseason appearances, the third-best winning percentage among active coaches, two Super Bowls. Could it be more because of those losses to lesser teams? Sure. But it could also be less if he didn't beat those good teams. I'm not defending him, just pointing up the Steelers win a lot of games under him, no matter what you think of him. And, yes, I think they go to KC and win.

Hey Gerry, I traveled with my family from Toronto on sunday to see this game, and obviously very disapointed in the steelers play. But i got a gut feeling they pull out a win Sunday in KC.

You might be right

If Ben still has "it," what do you think is the cause of his poor play this season?
Gerry Dulac
11:28
I'd say it's because he's playing poorly.

Hi Gerry, how divided do you think the locker room is? Too many I's and not enough we's?
Gerry Dulac
11:29
Not at all. The defense sits with the offense and the offense sits with the defense. Everybody plays nice. No division.

The Jags seemed to suggest, as did Jesse James, that the Steelers' offensive play calls were predictable. Do you think they need to be a lot more creative offensively and scheme to get other WRs not named AB open? If so, is that an indictment of Haley, or of Ben for changing the play calls?
Gerry Dulac
11:31
They are so many factors that go into what play is called, how it is read and how it is executed. Do you really think Ben goes in the huddle and says I'm going to throw to AB on this play and it happens? It doesn't work that way. Pre-snap and post-snap reads of the defense will dictate what he does with the ball.

Yes, Ben has been bad this year but the passing game decline started last year. Look at his WR's (outside of Ab) from last year and where they are today - Ayers, Hamilton, Rogers, DHB, Coates and Wheaton. Total of 5 catches in 2017. This years addition of Bryant, Hunter and JuJu havent really been consistent. Do you see a lack of talent at WR as part of the reason for Ben's decline?

Hey, I thought this receiving corps was supposed to be one of the greatest of all-time?????

ESPN showed highlights of Pitt's LB's out of position and not holding the edge or over running plays which led to the long Jax runs. Do you think Harrison should dress vs KC based on his ability he showed in last years game? I get he doesnt play special teams but you cant tell me hes not one of out 53 best players. Eric Fisher will be so happy w Tomlin if 92 doesnt get a hat.
Gerry Dulac
11:35
Agreed on both points. But one thing the Steelers don't want to do is retard TJ Watt's development by letting Harrison play. That's what happened to a large degree with Jarvis Jones. They don't wanty to do that again. And it's not as though Watt is the sole problem. But he's young and learning and gives you so much more than what Harrison can give at age 39.
Well, kids, that's all the time we have today. Thanx for the questions. Bye now.
