OK, kids, I see we have a lot of tailgaters who arrived early, so we will start our chat in just a few minutes.
10:56
OK, everyone, let's get started....

Gerry. After Antonio Browns temper tantrum Sunday, coach Tomlin should have sat him for a series or two?Agree or disagree

I'm in favor of any type of punishment/discipline for boorish behavior, especially when a player shows up and disrespects a coach, such as Antonio Brown did by slapping away Todd Haley's hand and walking away from him while delivering a few not-so-friendly epitaphs. That, to me, is unprofessional and unnecessary, not to mention childish. He wants to knock over a water cooler, fine. But Mike Tomlin needs to intercede and do something when he sees one of his coaches get treated like that by a player. I understand Tomlin didn't see the incident when it happened. But he surely did the next day -- everyone did -- and needs to reprimand Brown. By not doing anything, he is just telling the next guy it's Ok to disrespect your one of your coaches. Any form of punishment is OK in my book.

Gerry:  Looks like the Steelers made one of their best all time trades this year.  Mike Hilton for Senquez Golson.  How were the scouts so wrong?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
It's not the scouts' fault that Golson got injured.

Gerry: I'm still not impressed with this defense though it ranks highly across the board. It's stats are inflated due to the weakness of its opponents rather than anything special it's doing. Do you agree or disagree?
Gerry Dulac
11:03
I disagree. If you're not impressed, then which team impresses you if the Steelers rank right near the top of the league?????

Gerry: I understand Harrison had the flu this past week, but is his level of activity due to an inability to contribute on special teams more of the answer? I know he loves to post those beastly weight training videos, but be never seems to post any workouts demonstrating speed or agility. Is that because he's lost a few steps or is that those workouts just aren't "sexy"?
Gerry Dulac
11:04
Well, at age 39 and carrying 255 pounds, I would think it's obvious that speed is definitely an issue. Putting him on special teams would be the same as asking him to cover a running back on third down.
Jon
11:04
Who in your opinion, has played the best on the defensive side through 4 games?
Gerry Dulac
11:04
Cam Heyward and Ryan Shazier

11:05
Knowing how the team has struggled in red area last few years, Mike Tomlin going for 2-pt conversion for no reason is getting old already. Your thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
Agreed. Kick the darn thing already and stop putting yourself in position where you feel you need to catch up or make up for any missed 2-point conversion. Enough already

Thanks Gerry:  Only 4 games in, but seems to me Ben is constantly high on his throws.  The problem will be more tips and possible INTs.  Is he not planting and having happy feet cause of poor line play?  Also more tips at the line this year--for a 6'5" QB, Why?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
No, the problem will be more incompletions. If someone is tipping high throws, it can only be Kevin Durant
Bill
11:07
do you think age is catching up with ben?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
No
Anthony
11:07
Should we expect the Jaguars who throttled the Ravens, or the Jaguars who lost to the awful Jets?
Gerry Dulac
11:07
That's what we're going to find out.
Anthony
11:08
Are the Patriots actually a weaker team this year, or their porous defense a blip on the radar?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
Their defense is brutal. You can't expect Tom Brady to bring them back in EVERY game, even for Tom Brady

Hi Gerry, does Ju Ju see more targets now in the passing game?
Gerry Dulac
11:11
Well, from Week 1, his targets have gone from 0 to 4 to 6 to 4. So, yeah.
Lambert Lunatic

Hi Gerry, agree or disagree? Ben’s slow start due to:  1 rookie WR, 1 WR off 1-year suspension, force-feeding Bell, 3 road games in 4 weeks, & him vowing to take better care of the ball (1 REAL INT).  Ben has misfired on occasion but has mostly thrown where only his receivers can catch.
Gerry Dulac
11:12
All valid reasons and contributing factors

Thanks for the great insight. On the play AB had his tantrum Bryant also had a three step lead on his man. I cannot ever remember Ben missing so many open receivers with bad throws or bad decisions. Do you expect this to improve or is this our reality?
Gerry Dulac
11:13
He has missed a lot of deep passes, that's for sure. They actually have more pass interfere penalties on deep throws (3) than they do receptions (2) on deep throws.

Gerry....It seems that there might be more to the Roger's deactivation than a missed punt. Any sense that maybe Tomlin thought he needed an attitude check?
Gerry Dulac
11:14
I think  part of it, don't forget, is that the offense has been struggling for the most part. Why not give someone else a chance, like Justin Hunter? And I think it's apparent they like JuJu, too.
Rick
11:14
Gerry,  Do you think Harrison will be active this week?  Thanks.
Gerry Dulac
11:15
Yes, if what the Steelers said about Harrison, that he was sick last week, is true.
Troy
11:15
When are we going to see this offense kick into gear?  Ben has just seemed off so far this year.  I have a feeling it may be this week against Jacksonville?
Gerry Dulac
11:17
Home games always seem to be a good place for Ben to erupt. But this Jaguars defense is pretty good. And they get after the QB

11:17
Hello Gerry, M. Mitchell back this week?
Gerry Dulac
11:17
Not sure. I'll know a little more today or tomorrow

Gerry, seems like V. McDonald is a Steeler type player except for the drops. Has that always been a problem of his?
Gerry Dulac
11:19
That was a problem, apparently, in SF. And he is 2 for 2 with the Steelers -- 2 targets, 2 drops. But he is a good tight end otherwise
Jax
11:19
Gerry,  I think the Steelers need to be careful with this game.  Between two big games.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.
Gerry Dulac
11:19
They need to be careful every game
