If I'm remembering correctly there is an effect to having fire ball relievers come in after soft tossing starters. Is the reverse true? The pirates currently have about 6 guys who throw 98.. and a closer who throws 92

Just off the top of my head, I think there's a slight advantage -- short-term -- to any abrupt change in pitching style

It's for this reason I wonder about the Orioles having O'Day and Givens basically back-to-back as similar funky relievers
Very small concern but an interesting one
