Rangers' OF (when healthy) is set with Choo, Mazara and Desmond. Beltre at 3B for the next few years. And putting Gallo at DH kills a ton of his value. For these reasons, he's gotta be on the move, right?

What are your thoughts on the M's selling on Taijuan Walker? A couple years ago I shuddered at the thought but I'm really starting to wonder if he's a top of the rotation guy long term, plus your standard TINSTAAPP/pitcher health concerns. If Dipoto get an offer that includes some shiny stuff coming back it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, right?

No problem here with the idea of moving Walker, but I don't think you do it now when he's dealing with an injury and his numbers are mediocre

Hey Jeff, what type of return do you think the Angels could get for Matt Shoemaker IF they trade him? He seems to me to have large margin of trade potential could be a big return or could be small return.

I don't think other teams quite trust him, but he'd still get a haul. That being said, the Angels will need people to start games in 2017, and they won't want to pull the rug out from under their chances of contention already. With Skaggs coming back, they could and should improve

Gallo has a good chance. Branyan is a popular comp. And he had a 111 big-league wRC+ even while striking out a third of the time. Gallo could be Branyan with health and an earlier opportunity

For one thing, we don't know if that report is actually correct. But if it is, you could kind of get it, from the perspective that Giolito's control is not good and the Nationals might figure he's around his value peak
