I'm a C6-7 incomplete quad of 36 years - I do between 12-14 transfers a day - my left arm/shoulder area are my power as I have no biseps on my left side I'm having problems as Over the past several months it has begun too throb/really hurt & my wrist / fingers are also the same - Would PT help?  I am restricted to a WC - suggestions as I'm tired of hurting - thx

Ally, Physical therapy with traction can help.  Epidural steroid injections are often very effective in getting relief.  Depending on what your spine looks like weighing best options can be better assessed.

Tanya, it depends of what methods they use to treat you.  I typically prefer active treatments which the PT's are often somewhat better at.

Danny, I'm sorry you are having some much trouble with the shoulder and arm. That sounds like a complex problem, and I suspect you have rotator cuff and biceps pathology in affecting your shoulder. I would recommend evaluation and I am happy to take a look at you. I would start with xrays and evaluate further as needed.

thank you Doctor physical therapy is not an option and actually make my injury worse by making my right arm have weakness in it and impartial feeling but aren't epidural injections FDA approved
