No idea where that came from. First off, West Mifflin and other schools aren't in position to offer HUGEEE money. Secondly, Bob Palko hasn't resigned yet. Thirdly, he ain't going to another high school. Why would he go to West Mifflin??? And lastly, West Mifflin has a good coach in Ray Braszo.

McKeesport v. Gateway.  Who do you like in their latest round of a classic brawl?

I'll go McKeesport but I go back and forth on this one. They had a close one a few weeks ago. I know Brady Walker is excellent QB but a big key will be if Gateway can run the ball some. Freshman named Davis opened eyes for Gateway last week. One to watch for future.

With New Castle bowing out of the football playoffs last week, we are all ready for basketball season here. Will it be NC and QV again at the top of their division?

Quaker Valley should be very good. Coletrane Washington just committed to Drexel. Ricky Guss is key player.  Both coaches are among the best around. Marcus Hooker back at New Castle. But losing Geno Stone hurts some. Yes, I would say going into the season they would be the top two ranked teams in 4A. They play in same section.

They haven't announced it yet but most likely it will be 3, 6 first. Then maybe 5 and 4. Same problem. There is Penguins game at night. So AT&T wants to put that 6A game live. To do that, it has to be one of the first two games.

Was already ruled on last year. You're talking about Tyler Bradley. He was ruled eligible. No matter if he stayed at Avonworth or left for OLSH, he was going to play for his father because his father is basketball coach at Avonworth and footbal coach at OLSH,

I'm going California. I do think the Trojans are for real. I think they have legit chance to win it all. They have a good team in many areas but I still like the 6-1, 260 pound Jelani Stafford in the backfield.

Fox Chapel came up a bit short last week but had there chances against PT.  Two 1200+ yard rushers on that offense.  Just wondering if anyone else in the WPIAL had two rushers with those stats?

Tom Loughran has done a great job at Fox Chapel. Underrated as a coach. Won two states at South Park. Fox Chapel is one of the teams that benefits greatly from six classes. They are in 5A. Playing in 6A was too much for them. As for 1,000-yard rushers in regular season, New Castle also had two.

I'm not into scores. Even though NA gave Pine a game two weeks ago, Pine still won by 20. I still say Pine by three touchdowns. Central game might be closer but Central by 12. Supposed to be cold I believe. Does that affect Penn Hills passing game?

Avonworth beat Charleroi. Now people questioning if Charleroi was really a top five team. But Charleroi did have five turnovers. I will take Riverside over Avonworth.

It was a little close for a while the last time. I was there. Beaver offense seems to have come around. But I think you have to score at least three times to beat Aliquippa and I can't see Beaver scoring 21 or more.

If he does resign, he will coach again somewhere and it won't be on the high school level. Yes look for college maybe. I'm sure he might not even mind doing some scouting. His son Luke is a scout for Arizona Cardinals.

I just said that. He's not going to coach again at a high school. We've had talks over the years. Honestly, one of the reasons is parents have worn on him.

Why does ATT Sportnet consistently preempt WPIAL playoff footbal for some meaningless penguin game?  Cant there be some scheduling or contractual arrangement? or am i in the minority?
