I think they are going to mostly hang around the WC hunt, at least, and won't be looking to sell. But Reynolds would have to really sustain some production for a while to generate a return of any interest. There's a reason he signed a minor league deal.

I've never really understood this talk of a Cron trade. If he's not doing enough for the Angels, an AL team that need a first baseman/DH, then who else would really want him? Obviously there are other clubs that might like him more, etc, but there's just not going to be much value there unless he hits well enough that they don't want to trade him.

I'm digging Bruce right now on my Mets and the way he's been swinging the bat/taking walks. Too small of a sample size to believe he keeps this up? Does he stay if he does?

I think he mostly is who he is at this point. The OBP will fluctuate with BABIP. He's streaky with lotsa pop when he's going good. Kind of a left-handed-hitting Mark Trumbo.

His value at this point is as a catcher. I know he had the one huge year but he needs to reestablish himself quite a bit. Nobody is dealing for him and plugging him onto a MLB roster as a DH.

He's not on the 40-man yet, which is a factor. They prize the flexibility and won't want to commit to taking a spot until they know they want/need to. In this case, they have a couple righty sluggerish types. But maybe he could follow a similar course to Seager, who didn't come up until late in 2015 and ended up playing a ton in the postseason?

Have to like that he can draw a walk. And if the huge K numbers last year are just a blip, and the power finally shows up fully in game action, you've got something. I guess I don't see him as a future superstar, but he seems destined to be at least a useful big leaguer for a while and could be more.
