If you like grids and you like following along during the offseason (obviously you do if you're here), these should be helpful.

Also, if you interested in playing time projections, stats projections, fantasy rankings, etc. and like using Excel, I have all of that here ... https://fantasybaseballprep.com/
Let's get started.

LoCain to TEX, book it.

I've been saying it. Cain to Texas and LoMo to KC and I'll be feeling good about my FA predictions.

Which Prospect do you see making an impact in 2018 that is not on the top 100 list?
AvatarJason Martinez

I think Steven Duggar becomes the regular CF in SF no later than mid-June.

Would a package of Scott Schebler Dilson Herriera and Alfredo Gonzalez be enough to get Jake Odorizzi from Tampa Bay to Cincinnati
AvatarJason Martinez
4:42
No. Values for Schebler and Herrera are down and I don't know who Alfredo Gonzalez is. But unless you meant Jose Siri or Taylor Trammell, it doesn't help much.

Jason - are the Mets done shopping?  Hearing today Moustakas might not be an option for them but maybe Frazier.  I think they might have one more move in them.
AvatarJason Martinez
4:44
Yes, I think they'll make one more significant move (if signing a 3B like Frazier is significant) and maybe add a back-of-rotation starter.

Why are the Yankees look outside the organization for starters:  What do I have left to prove at AAA?
AvatarJason Martinez
4:46
Depth is important. As long as you have options remaining, you are valuable because you can be stashed in AAA until it's absolutely necessary to call you up. Even Jordan Montgomery could start in AAA if they add another starter and he proved that he's a MLB pitcher.

Hey Jason! Think the jays are more likely to sign a 5th starter and move biagini to the pen (if so, who)? or get a RP and keep him in the rotation?
AvatarJason Martinez
4:48
I think they'll add a starter and a reliever and keep an open mind with Biagini. In either case, he'll likely be stretched out in Spring Training and they can decide if he's needed in the 'pen or if he's more valuable pitching every 5th day in AAA in case they need him to start at some point.

Do you see the pirates adding another outfielder before opening day?
AvatarJason Martinez
4:51
Definitely. Someone inexpensive and who isn't going to block Austin Meadows once he's ready for the Majors. Jon Jay or Jarrod Dyson would be good fits. Maybe Jose Bautista will return. That would be interesting.

4:52
Hey, Jason! Do you think the Padres bring in any other starters to compete for a rotation spot? Starter depth is always good, but there are also plenty of young guys close to the majors. Thoughts? Another MiLB signing or two?
AvatarJason Martinez
4:53
Tyson Ross and Chris Young were the MiLB deals and they have a few guys returning from injury (Colin Rea, Robbie Erlin, Matt Strahm). Even if 1-2 of those aforementioned pitchers steps up and wins a rotation spot, I think there's probably room for one more veteran starter (Bring Cahill back!).
4:54
I don't think they'll rush the prospects. The only one of their young guns that I'm projecting to reach the Majors in '18 is Lucchesi. But a lot can change.

Do you think giants are done this offseason?
AvatarJason Martinez
4:56
I don't think so. Probably still looking for a left-handed hitting OF to split time with Jackson early in the season. Indications are that Duggar is more likely to be a mid-season call-up, but they also don't see Austin Jackson as a starter.
4:57
I also think they can add an inexpensive SP, even if they say they're fine with Blach, Stratton, Beede, Suarez competing for 2 rotation spots.

Hi Jason, I am an SF Giants fan and I am excited about next year, i think  one of the keys is the bullpen, if Melancon and Dyson can have 2016 type years, that would be a potent 8th and 9th inning combo, with Will Smith and Strickland handling the 7th, seems to me it could be strong, what are you thoughts are the Giants pen?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:00
I agree. That bullpen can be good, especially if Melancon and Smith come back strong and Dyson doesn't return to his early '17 form. But, of course, I can say that about most teams. Bullpens are difficult to predict.

If the marlins trade yelich to the brewers who should they target

Can't see it happening without Lewis Brinson being the centerpiece.

Do you think Hoffman deserved the HOF nod?
AvatarJason Martinez
5:05
Heck yeah!!! I think guys like Mussina and Edgar are more deserving, but Hoffman is a Hall of Famer. Closers are obviously an important part of a team or else the best ones wouldn't be getting $15MM+ per season. And Hoffman was one of the best ever. 2nd most saves. Highest conversion rate, I think. How many other closers of that era were that good for that long? Mariano is already in. Probably Billy Wagner. That's all I can think of.

5:07
Hey Jason. Do you think Dombrowski could really apply the pressure to Scott Boras by simply telling him “my patience are getting thin on JD, what is the market on Carlos Gonzalez?”
AvatarJason Martinez
5:09
He might just think he has all the leverage. Who else is willing to give JDM $125MM+ right now? I don't know if CarGo has much of a market, either. Dombrowski probably knows he'll get one of them so I think he's just waiting for Boras to give in.

Jarrod Dyson to the A’s makes sense, right?  I can’t imagine Dustin Fowler’s horrific knee injury will be healed enough to allow him to play Center field come opening day.
AvatarJason Martinez
5:11
I wouldn't rule it out, but there are better fits for him on better teams. Boog Powell is probably a decent-enough backup plan if Fowler isn't ready.

5:12
would the signing of tony Watson and Todd Frazier make the Mets legit playoff contenders? Assuming decent health
AvatarJason Martinez
5:13
It helps, but their playoff chances are tied to the health of deGrom, Syndergaard and Cespedes. And it wouldn't hurt if Harvey or Wheeler made 25 starts, Amed held his own at SS, and one of the younger pitchers (Lugo, Gsellman) had a good season.

Why aren't the Yanks looking at cheap 2b/3b veteran for insurance
AvatarJason Martinez
5:17
I'm sure they're exploring their options. They're not going into the season with Gleyber at 2B and Andujar at 3B. I'm guessing that they sign Todd Frazier for 3B or Neil Walker for 2B and have Ronald Torreyes/Tyler Wade/Jace Peterson fill the other spot for a few weeks until Gleyber is ready to take over.
