His agent had really harsh words for them, so I think that door is closed.
dbacks4life
1:31
what moves do you see the dbacks making this offseason?
Tim Dierkes
1:31
No one has a read on their plan yet. I expect them to try to improve the bullpen, and maybe attempt to unload Tomas.

on your free agent predictions you have us getting utley, nova, and hundley. you think arte spends more and goes for neil walker instead?
Tim Dierkes
1:32
Yes, I could definitely pitcher Walker at 2B for the Angels.
Aquizno
1:32
if cubbies miss out on chappy, will they sign either janseny or melancony?
Tim Dierkes
1:32
For some reason I don't see the Cubs getting as excited about Melancon. So if not Chapman or Jansen, I honestly don't know where they'll turn.

Could Trumbo take the QO? I feel like he can't get more $ per year on the open market after his second half collapse.
Tim Dierkes
1:33
I could see him struggling to get our 4/60 projection, but I don't see why 3/45 or 2/30 wouldn't be there after he hit 47 HR.
JR
1:33
Do you truly see the Rangers as big spenders this year with all the money they already have on the books?
Tim Dierkes
1:34
I do struggle with that, in regard to our list. But I don't really think Carlos Gomez or Matt Holliday will cost all that much.
Jay
1:35
Saunders to Angels?
Tim Dierkes
1:35
Thought so, until they traded for Maybin.
Chris
1:35
What's the latest you have heard on Eric Thames? He is something of a wildcard. Do you think he would return?
Tim Dierkes
1:36
Last I heard, Japan was equally as likely as the U.S. I still find him interesting, and even $6MM or so might get him back here.
Napoli
1:36
2/28 seems a little high for me doesn't it? Below average defense and speed, .239 average (10% walk rate though).
Tim Dierkes
1:36
Yeah, that is one that I could definitely see being less. 2/24 or something.
Kevin
1:36
Outside the box trade target for the braves?
Tim Dierkes
1:36
Shelby Miller
Giants
1:37
Are the Giants actually going to spend on offense this offseason?
Tim Dierkes
1:37
My feeling is, mildly, if at all. But I do consider a Josh Reddick level to be mild.

1:37
Soler for Britton? Any potential there?
Tim Dierkes
1:37
I think the Cubs would have to do a lot better.
Matt
1:38
What do you think about Dexter Fowler to the Nationals?
Tim Dierkes
1:38
I like it and find it viable.
Brian
1:38
White Sox deal Sale or Quintana: yes or no?
Tim Dierkes
1:38
No.
Dodger fan in PHL

Your predictions seem to point to LAD going back to drawing board at closer (and long relief). Any idea where they go?
Tim Dierkes
1:38
I'm a bit stumped on that one, but I would picture them looking into Britton and Wade Davis.
Anthony
1:38
Sergio Romo and Brett Cecil to Red Sox realistic? 2 years 12.5M each?
Tim Dierkes
1:39
I see a third year for Cecil, but yes those make sense.
JKD
1:39
Where is Trea Turner starting next year - SS or CF? (which is to say - how aggressive will the Nats be in going after an OF, as opposed to just finding the best value and shuffling positions from there)
Tim Dierkes
1:39
Given the lack of shortstops available, I think he plays SS.
Grier
1:39
Is RP the only position you see the Cubs going after in FA?
Tim Dierkes
1:40
Yes. I would have liked to see them go after Rich Hill, but I don't see any signs of that.
Jake
1:40
Miami Marlins: More active on the trade market or in free agency?
Tim Dierkes
1:40
I can see some midlevel FA signings, and potentially a trade of Ozuna.
Mark
1:40
Do you think Dodgers keep Puig?
Tim Dierkes
1:40
I think they trade him.
