I said in a previous chat that I think Tyler Johnson will be the player that makes the biggest impact after moving at the deadline..but then the Lightning went and won a bunch of games.

They need to move someone up front and I think he's the odd man out.

I think a lot of players will waive it. Why would you want to see a teammate you rely on get taken away? He knows he's not going to get taken.

Since you think Tampa will hold onto Bishop, would they end up losing him for nothing in the expansion draft?

The interesting thing would be that Vegas gets a couple of days to talk to pending UFAs. If they sign one, they don't select a player from your team. Holding onto Bishop might be a roundabout way of protecting their forward group if they know Vegas is going after him.

Conspiracy theories are the best.

Philly will let them both walk and go after one of the other UFAs. Scott Darling will be an interesting option for a team looking for new blood in goal. The Hawks can't likely afford to keep him.

Calgary may re-sign Johnson but he'll probably test the waters to see if anyone thinks he's a #1 first.

That's a tough one. Backstrom has been getting a lot of love lately but has been criminally underrated his whole career. Otherwise I'll say a tie between Vlasic and Hornqvist. Oh, and the entire Minnesota team.

I just don't know what top six winger you'd be after that is worth any of them. When Vermette gets back and Rakell moves back to the wing, adding one of the rentals would make a really good top 6.
