I don't think it's possible to judge who the best coach is. We have almost no reference for how they'd act in different situations.
If you gave Mike Babcock or Bruce Boudreau or John Tortorella Pittsburgh's team, would the same thing happen?

There will definitely be a bunch of trades by Vegas.

McPhee has come out and said he already has deals for extra draft picks in his pocket.
It's why the expansion draft itself will be so hard to predict. Obvious choices will be left exposed, only to go unselected
And then the next day a free draft pick will go to Vegas.

For the Kings, is their only realistic choice to buy out Gaborik and/or Brown? or can they dump them on another team? (Vegas, Arizona)

So, it's tough because Gaborik is hurt and can't be bought out during the first window.
They will get another window (probably) later in the summer after dealing with their RFAs, but he might not even be recovered by then.

Buying out Brown would be a huge move by the new management..this is a former captain who had somewhat of a bounce-back year, albeit still pretty disappointing.

He also has a no trade, so if Arizona isn't on that list I doubt the Kings could get him to waive it to go to the desert.

They either have to move one, or make a deal with Vegas.
You just cannot let Vatanen or Manson walk out the door for free.
And they have too many forwards to go with 4-4

But I think Fleury does if the Hurricanes end up moving one of the other defensemen.
They have so many they could likely move two and still be pretty set for the future.
Remember they still have Jake Bean coming too.
