Has Tomlin ruined Eli Rogers by giving JuJu the job in camp over Rogers (who earned the job last year by being the 2nd best receiver the Steelers had) - and then deactivating Rogers after a fumble against the Bears? Rogers looks like a shell of himself.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:15
Come on. If Rogers isn't tough enough mentally to handle a rookie earning time then he doesn't belong in the NFL.

Offense is still not looking great. What needs to happen to get them putting up the Madden points they were expected to produce?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:16
For Bryant and Roethlisberger to play better. And for a tight end to become more involved especially in the red zone.
Chuck

How good is last year’s draft looking now? Burns is a legit CB, Davis might be our best player in secondary and Hargrave is a force who only makes plays. 3 legit starters in one draft is amazing!
Ray Fittipaldo
3:17
For sure, the those three picks are playing big roles. Hargrave was a monster against the Lions.

So i read Seattle is shoping jimmy gramm wouldnt a bryant and pick for jimmy gramm make sence?

Graham caught the winning touchdown pass against the Texans yesterday. Not so sure he and Bryant have the same trade value to be honest.

I am enjoying this season so far but my excitement and expectations are tempered by Success against New England in the post season.Even if the Steelers win out beating the Patriots in the Regular Season, am I wrong to curb my enthusiasm  until we hoist, at least, the AFC Championship Trophy?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:18
No I'm with you. Until the Patriots are knocked out of the playoffs I'm not picking the Steelers.

hey Ray  I like your thought does Bryant get a hat again this season ? and might they look to move him come draft time?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:19
Yes I expect him to play vs. the Colts and yes I think they'll deal him before the draft.

Am I the only one who cringes after every Steeler's score? The 10 minute comedy sketches, AKA TD celebrations, make me nauseated at I time I want to be happy.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:20
As long as they aren't penalized what's the harm? When they get flagged that's when I have a problem with it.

Ray can the steelers duplicate the second half of the season and finish 12-4?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:21
Yes I think they can. 13-3 is not out of the question.

How close is the defense to becoming "elite"?  Against the Lions, the passing yardage against was atrocious, but the goal line stands were phenomenal.  Do you feel this is a young defense that, given time, can be as good as any defense the Steelers have had?  Lots of talent there.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:22
Depends upon whether Keith Butler feels comfortable letting his CBs play in man coverage against good Qbs.
Matt
3:22
Ray, does McDonald get more playing time over James in 2nd half of season?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:22
A.) Will McDonald stay healthy? B.) Will McDonald stop dropping passes?
Steve
3:23
Ray, I believe top 4 teams in AFC as follows based on play...Patriots/Bills/Steelers/Chiefs, agree? I think Bills may take that Division.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:23
Bills seem legit, but let's not get carried away with division talk. The Pats will win that division.
Steve
3:23
Ray, thoughts on whether Butler may get offered head coaching jobs in near future? Has done a great job developing young players..
Ray Fittipaldo
3:24
Unfortunately for Butler, I think he's too old to be a first-time head coach.

Who knew Schuster was so fast?  Did anyone realize he could take it 97 yards without getting caught?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:25
That surprised me although he was doing the serpentine at the end to avoid getting tackled.

3:26
How do we look on the injury front?  Should we expect everyone back in two weeks?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:26
I think Gilbert and Tuitt could be ready.
Jim
3:26
Do you think Det made a mistake not kicking the field goal on the last series. The way they were moving the ball, if they held us to 3 and out they could have gotten the ball back with a minute left and a strong leg kicker.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:26
The last series? No. The series in the third quarter? Yes. Should have kicked it then.

3:27
Should the football gods deem it, do you believe this team, as is, can win in New England?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:28
I think it would be a better game than last season for obvious reasons. They're better in the secondary and they'd presumably have a healthy Le'Veon Bell. But I'm still not picking the Steelers to go into Foxboro in the playoffs and win.
Thanks for all the questions this week. We'll do it again next Monday.
