Hey Dan, thanks as always for your time. NYY is still in a weird place; most of their money comes off the books next season, in line for one of the worst FA classes in a while. Assuming the right trade never opens up, does signing Heyward+Wei Yin Chen give them a reasonable 90+ win expectation for 2016?

How does ZiPS deal with handedness and platoon usage for batters? Does it essentially project performance against LHP and RHP separately and then project the platoon use? Take Ryan Raburn for example: how should we interpret his projection?

ZiPS assumes past usage of platoon splits. I project platoon splits separately in the final posted spreadsheet

ZiPS has no mechanism for predicting future platoon usage and I'm not sure if I can even make such a thing
