How and why do scouts miss on pitching prospects like Brian Matusz, Mark Appel, Luke Hochevar, or for that matter Andrew Miller? These guys weren't picked at the top of the first round because someone thought they'd be decent relievers someday. What do scouts see that doesn't come true?

Hey Dan! What are your thoughts on King Felix? I was always worried he'd have a steep decline because of all the innings he threw in his early 20's, but it's really depressing to see him struggle. Do you think it's injury related or is a once great ace now just a good pitcher?

A combination, but it's a very real possibilyt that he's just good now. That's happened to lots of HoF pitchers in their 30s.

Yes. Recentism is difficult. He's still falling short of projections which tend to be more sober
