any chance the Steelers will play in London anytime soon?  How are those teams selected?
Ed Bouchette
2:16
They played there in 2013, so it will be at least 5 years before they return. I'm hearing they will play in Mexico, probably in the next year or two, before they go back to London

2:17
% chance that Villanueva does not sign?
Ed Bouchette
2:18
Well, he will sign one way or another -- either the one-year tender or a long-term deal. I think it will be the one-year deal.

Hi Ed, welcome back.  Injuries happen, other than Ben/Bell which injury would derail a SB appearance the most? Thanks?
Ed Bouchette

Antonio Brown. Ryan Shazier.

Hi Ed, thanks for taking my question.  What is your feeling/assessment on our defensive backfield as it stands right now? Needs help or good to go? Thanks
Ed Bouchette
2:19
They're improving. Safety is in good hands. Cornerbacks need help but that could come with the newcomers like Sensabaugh and Sutton, or improvement by a still-young Cockrell.

Right now, is Shazier worthy of long-term deal above $8M/season?
Ed Bouchette
2:21
Not right now because he is signed for the next two years, including the fifth-year option the team picked up for 2018. They will try to sign him to a multi-year contract next year.

With Bell a likely Hold Out, will we see a steady diet of Conner or Knile?  Is Conner auditioning for 2018-2019?
Ed Bouchette
2:22
You will see a steady diet of them and others through the preseason schedule, as you would have even if Bell reported on time.

What do reporters do at SVC to let loose when not writing the next story?
Ed Bouchette
2:22
I usually drive home.
Jud
2:23
Are Berry and Boswell secure?  Seems no others on active roster
Ed Bouchette
2:23
Yes.

2:23
How many work hours do you put in each day of training camp? I am assuming it is a grueling schedule for you as a reporter.
Ed Bouchette
2:23
I never sleep.

Are the Steeler pretty healthy going into camp?  Any lingering injuries from last season, or from OTA's?
Ed Bouchette
2:24
They seem to be healthy. A few were held out in the spring for precautionary purposes but they all seemed ready to go for camp, barring unknown stuff that may have happened since.

Why was Tom Pelissero the one to supposedly be the one to break the leak on contract details and not you or one of the other local media guys? He is not a guy who typically breaks big news regarding the Steelers.
Ed Bouchette
2:26
I can only speak for me, I was on vacation. Also, agents any more prefer to pick one national reporter to give stuff to rather than a bunch of local guys. It's been a change in our business. However, I saw what Tom wrote and he did not include any signing bonus or guaranteed money that may be in the deal, which often is the crux.

Is there a problem with Martavis and Ben's relationship, or was this made out to be more of an issue than it actually is?
Ed Bouchette
2:26
Even if there is a problem, I would not worry about it. Worry more that Martavis Bryant can stay on the team.

Other than the former head coaches, which Steelers assistant is most-likely to move up to be future head coach?
Ed Bouchette
2:27
I really think Carnell Lake has a chance.

Hi Ed..hope you had some nice time off..what is the most interesting competition you will be looking at ..at camp?
Ed Bouchette
2:28
No. 2 wide receiver.
Macaroon
2:28
Who might be the interception leader in the secondary this year?
Ed Bouchette
2:28
Artie Burns is my early line pick.

Have you ever interacted with Pittsburgh Dad? What is he like in person?
Ed Bouchette
2:29
Never met the man.
Matt
2:29
Ed, do you see Golson winning the 3rd corner spot?
Ed Bouchette
2:29
No.
Jud
2:30
Do you have a collegial relationship with Steelers.com reporters?  Or are they "partisan"?
Ed Bouchette
2:31
We have different types of jobs but we're all friendly
Jud
2:31
Did you read Arians book?  Your thoughts on the former coordinator?
Ed Bouchette
2:32
No, I did not read it. I try not to read sports books. I am in the middle of my friend Tom McMillan's latest, "Gettysburg Rebels" about five youths who grew up in Gettysburg, moved to the south and came back with the rebs to fight in their hometown against the Union.
Good stuff.
