Ed Bouchette

Good afternoon, let's begin
Mickey
1:59
Will the Steelers trade up in the draft to get a QB next season?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
Ask me after the season
Ironmanbob

What is the prognosis on Stephon Tuitt's injury?
Are there any free agents that the Steelers are looking at to replace him temporarily?
Ed Bouchette
1:59
Mike Tomlin said today that the biceps injury may not even keep him out of Sunday's game vs. the Vikings

Hi Ed....Your take on the sluggish opener? Lack of 1st string O not playing much in pre season, LB not many touches?
Ed Bouchette
2:01
Last year, they took precisely the same approach in the preseason and they did not have Le'Veon Bell and they scored  38 points in their opener at Washington
Sheff
2:01
Why rush Tuitt back if he needs a couple weeks to rehab his arm?  Is there a risk of additional injury given that one of his two tendons are torn?
Ed Bouchette
2:02
Dear Dr. Sheff. Do you know that one of his two tendons are torn  and do you think they would risk further injury to rush him back? I don't.

ESPN has the Steelers ranked #1 in their power ranking poll this week after their lackluster performance which I posted a comment that I disagree with their positioning. I believe they're top 5 but it's a stretch to think they're number 1! Where do you think they stack up and if not #1, where do you rank them and who do you rank ahead of them?
Ed Bouchette
2:03
I don't rank and I don't look at ranks. This is not college football. Rankings mean nothing. They are tied for the best record in the NFL, so I guess that would make them No. 1

I didn't understand the Offensive play calling at all with all the ineffective screens. Shouldn't deep safeties have dictated more of Bell not less?
Ed Bouchette
2:04
Well, he wasn't running well and he wasn't running routes well so I thought the less of  Bell would have been  the better tactic.
Brandon
2:04
Jesse James did not look JV Sunday - do you think targets stay heavily in his favor or does Vance get more involved?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
Vance got less involved Sunday after he dropped the only pass thrown to him. I would expect Jesse James to continue to be No. 1
Chify
2:05
It looked to me like big Al struggled a bit on Sunday, do you see the same?
Ed Bouchette
2:05
I saw him beaten once for a sack.
Chify
2:05
Did Sunday's game change your overall opinion of the team or just one game?
Ed Bouchette
2:06
Just one game. They have the talent. For whatever reason, most of it did not come out on Sunday.

Comparing this year's preseason approach with Bell to last year is not a valid argument...at least he actually practiced with the team last year!
Ed Bouchette
2:07
My comparison came in answer to a question as to why I thought the offense was sluggish and one possibility he/she gave was Tomlin using his first team so little in the preseason. All I said was they took the same approach last preseason, using the offense so little -- including Bell, who had like 2 carries last preseason.
So it is a very valid argument

Why do you suppose Ben is the only QB in the league who can't buy a roughing call ?
Ed Bouchette
2:08
I don't remember him being roughed on Sunday. He was legitimately sacked once

Hi Ed, Should Le'Veon Bell stop with all the tweeting and outside noise and just play ball? Do you think this will be an issue moving forward?
Ed Bouchette
2:09
No because he tweeted last year and looked pretty darn good playing football
Sheff
2:09
Is James really developing into an offensive weapon who could gain league wide notoriety or is he simply the best TE on the roster?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
He's improving, but don't put him in Heath Miller's category just yet. And please don't say he can gain "notoriety" because that's not usually a good thing.
Tom
2:10
With the injuries at DL & S, do you think there will be some roster moves this week?  Practice squad or other?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
No, they have enough men.
Randy
2:10
Hey Ed, In your opinion whyy do you think the Steelers, more often than not, plan DOWN to lower level teams?
Ed Bouchette
2:10
TV ratings
Yinzer
2:10
Ed, is it time to panic? Steelers didn't win by 45 on Sunday, I'm concerned.
Ed Bouchette
2:10
You should be if you bet on them and gave the points.

With Peppers 25 yards off the line, it was as though the Browns stopped our high powered offense with 10 guys. I blame it on Haley more than penalties
Ed Bouchette
2:11
I blamed every loss they ever had on the offensive coordinator at the time.
Chris
2:11
Bryant was a no show in this game concern or no?
Ed Bouchette
2:11
No, he should be OK. Remember, not only did he miss all of last season, the NFL would not let him practice until Aug. 9
2:15
Looks like that will happen today but they will make another move and add another ILB, perhaps bring back Stevie Johnson. Again.
