If the book is good enough there still seem to be willing buyers of even prints. To each their own
Felix Lu
2:24
@Jason...absolutely, to each their own. Just not for me.
Álvaro
2:24
@NickDragotta I meant to say, "thanks" not "you are welcome" :)
stefanomjr
2:24
@Francis wow
Lambo
2:24
@morgan  Fiona is a great example. As I understand it, if she didn’t do saga digitally, we wouldn’t have that great book and her great art in it.

Per bluelines, it just seems like it varies by the inker so much. The JRJR Spidey/Batman that popped up on CAF a while back that Mark Morales inked looks great, but it doesn’t look like the Scott Hanna or Williamson-inked stuff I grew up with and picture when I think of JRJR’s stuff. Guess that’s part of choosing the inker. @Malvin’s suggestion makes a lot of sense to me

On the digital art discussion - I know many artists that have transitioned to digital for the speed of production and ability to make changes. Some are able to do more than one book a month digital and their art was not a major income generator. They didn't have great reps like Felix.
Felix Lu
2:25
@Michael...I totally get it. It's also a shame, because the right mix of digital and traditional would net them more. They could maximize their earning potential with some strategic planning. And a good rep;)
Álvaro
2:25
@Francis LOL! @Tim D I love how she uses the negative space
Nick Dragotta
2:26
Tim, love Dani's work on COFFINBOUND!
stefanomjr
2:26
@Tim love Dani style
Francis Chervenak
2:26
@stefanomjr to the Detective Comics page or the mob of symbiotes we art collectors become at a major drop?
Nick Dragotta
2:26
Stefano, killer page!
Morgan H
2:26
@Tim D that’s a great Dani page! I thought about that one myself and I don’t even care about HQ! Patiently waiting for Dani to do a book I’m into.
Álvaro
2:26
@stefanomjr nice, indeed. Who is the artist?
Francis Chervenak
2:26
That Stegman page is my metaphor for original art collecting
Malvin
2:26
ok, I'll share 2 complete stories/issues, one I'll be keeping, the other is on my sell pile (partially due to buying the former!)
let's see if this works
Rob E.
2:26
I didn't find out about bluelines until I purchased my first original pages from Javier Fernandez. Luck was on my side though since he penciled and inked.
Michael Perlman
2:26

Dan T

Recent arrival is a dual homage to the BWS Lifedeath covers by Clara Tessier.  It's wallpower size.
Felix Lu
2:28
Congrats Dan!
2:29
I find it funny that collectors are now requesting Wall Power from other reps...but they can't use the term, lol.
Rob E.
2:29
@Felix, how can I share a picture? The attachment symbol is greyed out
Felix Lu
2:29
@Rob...are you using the arrow symbol with the circle around it?
headneophyte
2:29
I understand the digital shift from an artists perspective. Like Nick said, it's quicker, easier to edit, there's no wasted supplies or time. I'm not against it, but I don't buy "prints" very often.  I know they are popular though.
Malvin
2:29
Samnee always kills it on his bat inktobers
Michael Perlman
2:29
@Malvin - Love the GA story art.
Chris S
2:29
@Nick D, his Bat pieces are unreal!
Andy
2:29
Nice G.A. story, Malvin.  Was that in HA?
stefanomjr
2:29
