As you might imagine on trade deadline day, I've received plenty of questions. I'll try to get to as many as possible in the next hour-plus.

Rumor (Jake Fischer) suggesting a framework of Dragic to Dallas for Porzingis?  Does this have legs?
Dana Gauruder
11:02
Dragic is headed to San Antonio with Thad Young going to Toronto. Remains to be seen if the Spurs will forward Dragic elsewhere or actually plan to play him.

Do you see the Bulls making a move of some kind today? They need another body on that Frontline real bad
Dana Gauruder
11:04
I do think they need to get any extra frontcourt piece but they're reluctant to give up any young assets. If they don't find a deal they like, I'm sure they'll be active in the buyout market.

As a sixer fan, I'm looking forward to the end of the Simmons saga, but am I crazy in not wanting Harden? Feel like I'm going against the grain here.
Dana Gauruder
11:06
I'm with you on this one. If Harden isn't motivated to play with one contender, why would he suddenly be more energized to play in Philly? Plus, that hamstring issue is a concern. The hopes for Beal are shattered by his injury and apparently the Blazers aren't trading Lillard but I'd rather get a package of servicable role players for Simmons than deal with Harden's unpredictable moods.
11:08
Addendum to Dragic question -- looks like he'll be re-routed to Mavs before afternoon is through.

With Turner not available, is Richaun Holmes the most likely center to get moved? What teams might be interested and what could the return look like? Also curious if you've heard anything on Marvin Bagley
Dana Gauruder
11:10
FYI -- Some of these questions came in a half hour ago and have already been resolved. The Pistons are acquiring Bagley in a mult-team deal. I think Holmes' contract could be a hindrance -- he's got three years left -- but I'm sure the Kings will try hard to move him. I don't see him as a fit next to Sabonis.

Good Afternoon. Chances of Duncan Robinson being shipped greater than 50%?
Dana Gauruder
11:13
I'd say much less than 50-50. That five year, 90 mil deal would discourage most teams looking for a shooter.

Are we selling any of these vets.  Please say we are getting rid of at least 2-3.  Let's let the young boys play.
Dana Gauruder
11:15
The Wizards have every incentive to sell off some of the vets with the season lost (i.e. Beal's injury). I have to believe they'll make at least one move this afternoon.

Hornets make any big trades???🏀
Dana Gauruder
11:16
Looks like they're making a push for Poeltl. Whether that comes to fruition remains to be seen. I think they'd like to upgrade the frontcourt in some fashion.

Do you think Jeremy Grant gets traded and what will the return be? I know they are seeking 2 firsts but that seems a bit steep considering he’s a borderline All-Star.
Dana Gauruder
11:18
Pistons made a move today, bringing in Bagley. Whether they have any intention of re-signing him remains to be seen. I don't think they move Grant unless they get a really sweet offer -- young player plus at least one first-rounder. He'll have plenty of value this offseason as he enters the final year of his three-year deal with Detroit.

Shouldn't the lakers be reluctant to trade a future 1st round pick since the team is so old it will be a lottery pick in the future?
Dana Gauruder
11:20
I agree with your thinking but the Lakers are scrambling, if for nothing else than to have the appearance of not waving the white flag on this season. I just can't imagine they'll find an impact player out there whether they include the first-rounder or not. They're hamstrung by the Westbrook acquisition.

What do you think lakers or Knicks do today
Dana Gauruder
11:24
The Knicks need to shake things up. I'm sure they'd like to move Fournier but that will be difficult, given his contract status. Reddish might be on the move again, given Thibs' reluctance to play him. Burks could also get moved.

What do you think the Kings were trying to get at with trading Haliburton? The Kings have made a lot of bad decisions this season but this was the weirdest one yet. Do they really think Sabonis is going to be a better long-term answer than Haliburton? Or are they looking to flip him for someone else? This just makes no sense!
Dana Gauruder
11:28
You're not the only one scratching his head with that one. Sabonis made a nice debut and I'm guessing they think the Fox-Sabonis duo will be good enough to make the playoffs next season? Certainly not good enough to be a championship contender. There's a reason why the Kings are endlessly searching for ways to improve -- they keep shooting themselves in foot with bad decisions.  Bagley instead of Luka or Trae alone was a franchise killer.

DiAngelo Russel what are the chances her is available?
Dana Gauruder
11:31
I would think the T-Wolves want to give the Edwards-Russell-Towns more time to gel. They're above .500 and on a good path for the postseason. I think they'd be better off riding with what they have and letting this group continue to grow chemistry.

Is it just me or is the idea of trading Thybulle a non starter? He’s the best perimeter defender in the league, wouldn’t he be super valuable in the playoffs even with his sub optimal 3P%
Dana Gauruder
11:33
The Sixers don't seem inclined to move him or Maxey in a major trade.
Justin
11:35
What kind of pick compensation do you think the Thunder would want for Tobias Harris?
Dana Gauruder
11:37
Haven't the Thunder hoarded enough future first rounders? I don't see Tobias going anywhere unless the Sixers are getting an All-Star level talent in return. He's still a low-maintenance No. 2 scorer on a prime contender at the moment.

11:37
What are the Celtics going to do today? Buy? Sell? A combination of both?
Dana Gauruder
11:39
They just made a minor move with the Magic for some cap relief but if the Celtics do anything significant, they'll be buyers. They finally seem to be coming together -- have two young All-Star talents but a developing center in Williams.

Does a trade of Russ packaged with THT possibly work?
Dana Gauruder
11:40
No one wants to touch Russ' contract and anyone making such a move would have to match an awful lot of salary -- 50-mil plus. That's not going to happen.

11:42
Any chance the Bucks will move Pat Connaughton for Dennis Schroder?
Dana Gauruder
11:43
I don't know if the Celts would value Connaughton all that much. I do like the Bucks' move for Ibaka if his back is healthy. They really needed another big guy with Lopez out.

11:44
Has Psorzingas' value or relationship with Mavs really sunk to the level of discussing a swap for a late thirties guard?
Dana Gauruder
11:47
I do think the Mavs have major concerns about Porzingis' knee but trading his contract would be a difficult task -- he's signed through 2023-24. But they certainly won't give him away for cents on the dollar. That's not how Cuban operates.

Given the Bulls frontcourt needs and the Knicks potentially blowing things up, would something along the lines of P-Will, Coby + salary and picks for Randle + Burks work?
Dana Gauruder
11:51
I can't see the Bulls taking on that type of contract, plus they'd have to give a lot more salary than that for matching purposes. Randle would go from No. 1 option to No. 4 or 5 option on that team -- don't see Chicago doing something like that, even if the salaries did match up.
