Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well!
Let's get rolling
Brady
4:47
How many stadiums have you been to?
Anthony Franco
4:48
About a third, mostly in the East

What would a ramon laureano return look like
What would a Sean Murphy trade return look like
Anthony Franco
4:49
Three-plus years of control over both, Murphy's probably more valuable because of the positional scarcity and lack of PED suspension but they're both really good assets
I think you're looking at two really interesting prospects (plus some other stuff) if they move either, but I'm still skeptical they do that
Luc
4:50
Who do the Giants target at the trade deadline bat or arm?
Anthony Franco
4:50
Feels like catcher's going to be the big priority there. Could stand to add another good reliever, like virtually every contender
4:51
I'm sure they'll poke around the market for the top starters as well, but I don't see that as a need per se. Webb/Rodón is a good top pairing, should get Disco and Cobb back soon, and Junis has stepped in nicely
4:52
Obviously Junis is currently also hurt but expected back near the deadline
Josh Meyer
4:52
How active do you expect the Twins to be at the trade deadline?
Anthony Franco
4:53
Should be front and center in the Montas/Castillo bidding. Position player group looks pretty strong -- could add a Josh Bell/Trey Mancini type but that's more of a luxury buy -- but they'll want more pitching
Jaxon
4:53
With the Tigers struggling, why wasn't Riley Greene a Friday night home series call-up? Thanks.
Anthony Franco
4:54
He'll be up soon. Just think they want to give him time to get up to speed in Toledo for a couple weeks
Ryan
4:54
Has this padres start surprised you? Still no Tatis and if they hold on today alone in 1st in the N.L. West.
Anthony Franco
4:55
Yeah I thought they'd be solid but certainly not this good without Tatís. Didn't expect MacKenzie Gore to come up pitching this well, in particular

4:55
would you be worried about the team moving?
Anthony Franco
4:56
John Angelos was pretty forceful in his statement that the team wasn't moving. I have no reason to doubt that
Contreras
4:57
I understand he’s a rental but could one argue he’s worth more than 2 mid tier prospect since he’s a great hitter catcher (a position that doesn’t have much bats) how often are premier catchers available?
Anthony Franco
4:58
It's a fair argument but I just don't think anyone's putting the top-tier prospect out there for two months of any player. It's not really how teams operate anymore, particularly since they've all sort of come to the realization that the playoffs are pretty random regardless
Jaxon
4:59
Carlos Santana is hitting .191 for a struggling Royals team.... Can one/or both of the P brothers be called up from AAA?
Anthony Franco
4:59
I've been waiting for them to make this move since about the second week of April. For whatever reason, they haven't
5:00
I don't get it, but I've also given up predicting when Pasquantino or Pratto will get the call. I'd have made the switch a long time ago
Angelsfan05
5:00
If the angels continue their poor play, what are the chances they trade Syndergaard and Lorenzen, and what is a realistic return?
Anthony Franco
5:01
Yeah I can't see them doing it so long as they're within shouting distance (within like six games) of a Wild Card spot, but they obviously need to play better at some point
5:03
Returns wouldn't be great for either, since it's just a couple months and neither guy's striking many hitters out. There'd be value with both (particularly Lorenzen, who's cheap), but they wouldn't pull a top 100 guy or anyone close to that ilk
Julio
5:03
Do you see jd martinez being traded , if so , to what team ?
Anthony Franco
5:03
Nah, the ship has sailed on the Red Sox as a deadline seller. They've played their way back into it. They'll add barring some kind of major collapse

5:04
Do you think the Mets are interested in Bednar?
Anthony Franco
5:04
I'm sure everyone's interested in Bednar. Don't expect Pittsburgh to actually move him, although I'd probably be more inclined to do it given reliever volatility
Phils Phan
5:04
COuld the Phillies actually make a run? Or is there no shot with the Mets and Braves ahead of us?
Anthony Franco
5:05
I think 8.5's going to be too big a gap to close in the East but they're definitely Wild Card contenders
5:06
It's a flawed team in ways that were obvious to everybody from Day One, but there aren't many others that can match the Phils high-end talent
Prolific Homerun Hitter, Bartolo Colon
5:06
Any chance that the Metsies bring up Francisco Alvarez in the late summer to be their backup catcher and a pinch hitter with high upside for the playoffs?
Anthony Franco
5:07
Perhaps but I'd be more inclined to make a genuine run at a Contreras type to just replace McCann as the starter
Shohei Ohtani
5:07
Do I sign an extension with the Angels or should I walk and become a free agent?
Otani
5:07
Do you see me being traded in the by the trade deadline? If yes, who gets my services?
Anthony Franco
5:08
Neither extended nor traded, in all likelihood. I expect he'll play out the next year and a half in Anaheim and then hit free agency
