It won't be all that interesting unless they shop Machado or one of their young starters (Bundy or Gausman), but I think they'll trade Seth Smith and a few of their pitchers (Britton, O'Day or Brach, Tillman).

At the least, I think they get an 8th inning guy to set up for Herrera. I also think they can get a back-of-rotation SP and maybe an upgrade over Brandon Moss at DH without giving up too much.

I think their current asking price will come down, but not that far. Alvarez's value is rising but limited because he's a 1B.

I'm sure they'll listen on Garcia. Swarzak will be traded. Clippard will likely be traded as long as the White Sox eat the remainder of his salary. Holland and Gonzalez should also draw interest from teams looking to shore up the back of their rotation.

No chance. If he hadn't been on the DL twice and if he had pitched this way over 18 starts instead of 10, there would be a decent chance. If he stays healthy, he's going to be a very good pickup for some contender.

5 years of club control after this season. I'm sure the A's will listen, but probably not too motivated to move him and teams won't be all that motivated to pay much for him since he doesn't have a long track record.

Sure, I can see that. Not too many close-to-MLB ready shortstops available but Padres need one. Not sure what they think of Ketel Marte, but he could also be a target. Dbacks could really use Maurer and/or Hand.

Rutherford is a Top 25-40 prospect in baseball. They got him for a rental (Frazier), a reliever who has been really good for a few months, and they also shed Robertson's salary. I love the deal for the White Sox.

Nope. Need at least 1 Top 50 prospect just to get the conversation started and the Royals don't have one. Not even close, in fact. Mondesi still has a lot of value, but he wouldn't headline a deal for a frontline starter with years of club control. Devenski has proven to be too valuable to the bullpen. Dominant multi-inning guys are so valuable in the playoffs. Even without Correa, I think they can safely look ahead to the playoffs. I can see it happening in 2018, though.

Not really. Not getting anything for Hosmer, Mous, Cain, Vargas will hurt. But only being 2.5 games out of a playoff spot, Moore won't be second-guessed if he doesn't trade all of his free agents-to-be.

If the Dodgers trade for another starter, it will be because of Julio Urias' season-ending injury. I thought he'd have a huge impact in the 2nd half after the Dodgers kept his workload to a minimum early on. Dodgers were probably counting on it, too. Out of all the injuries this season, I'm most bummed about that one.
