Wieters to the Nationals just makes too much sense right?
Steve Adams
3:31
Makes some sense to me, yeah, but it seems like his asking price would have to come down a ways. But signing him and flipping Lobaton or Norris probably makes them a better team.
PICK ME!!
3:31
Do you write on this site as a full time job, or do you do other work?
Steve Adams
3:32
This is my full-time job, though I also contribute to MLB.com's fantasy department on a part-time basis as well.
buster
3:32
Why dont I play 1B? My batting line is way better there, and Belt can play LF. Sign Kurt Suzuki to catch? Your thoughts?
Steve Adams
3:33
Buster Posey is one of the best defensive catchers in the game. That wouldn't make the team any better -- it'd make the team worse. It's not like Suzuki is a great hitter or anything.
Brian Dozier
3:33
What's the impasse?
Steve Adams
3:34
Dodgers don't seem to want to offer up any legitimate prospects beyond Jose De Leon. Twins want multiple well-regarded prospsects.

10 years $300M who are you taking, Harper or Machado?
Steve Adams
3:34
Machado, though I don't think that offer even gets it done.
3:35
He's better than Stanton, younger than Stanton was when he signed his deal.... I don't see why his agents wouldn't push for a record-setting deal

3:35
Do you think Bautista lost his market value after that obnoxious bat flip that got him punched out?
Steve Adams
3:35
I think the only people who care about Bautista's bat flip are irrational fans.

3:35
Wieters to COL makes more sense.
Steve Adams
3:35
I think they're a good fit as well, yeah.

Please post a list of remaining free agents on MLB Trade Rumors. Thank You. Bryan
Steve Adams
3:38
Our list of free agents is updated every time someone signs, and it's constantly present on the sidebar of the site: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/03/2016-17-mlb-free-agents.html

We also have a Free Agent Tracker that is sortable by a number of different criteria: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017-mlb-free-agent-tracker

They're the first two things under the "Tools" section of the site, and the List is permanently linked to on the sidebar of the desktop version.

Any chance the Brewers could re-acquire Jeffress for one of their starters?
Steve Adams
3:38
Not for Garza or Peralta, and I don't see the logic behind trading a more controllable arm for three years of Jeffress.

Does the Drew Storen signing preclude the Reds from inking Greg Holland?
Steve Adams
3:39
Nah. There's still room in that bullpen. Storen probably wouldn't be thrilled by that move, but there's still an easy fit there for Holland.

Hi Steve, how often do you guys have these live chats?
Steve Adams
3:39
Every Tuesday with me, Wednesday nights at 6:30 CT with Jason and Thursdays at 2pm CT with Jeff

Does Steve Adams like Rocky road ice cream?
Steve Adams
3:40
Damn straight, Cookie.

How much stock should fans put in a player's winter league performance?
Steve Adams
3:42
I wouldn't look at the stats much at all, but it's always good to see a guy who was hurt go to the VWL or DWL and play regularly to demonstrate his health. Also good for guys that need work on their defense to get the extra reps. But someone hitting .330/.390/.550 in a handful of games in the VWL shouldn't make you think a breakout is coming.
Jose Bautista
3:42
Japan for me?
Steve Adams
3:42
Nah, he'll sign somewhere here. It's not even *that* late into the offseason yet.
Wishful thinking
3:43
Do the redsox have enough left on the farm to go get dozier, could play him at 3rd?
Steve Adams
3:44
Sure, but they're going to give Sandoval a look there, and wisely so. May as well see if he can rebound before completely cutting bait.

3:44
How about Matt Cain and a few relief prospects for Braun? Or do the the Brewers expect legit prospects if they trade him?
Steve Adams
3:45
If the Brewers were willing to make that deal it'd have been done months ago. There's no way they're taking on Cain's contract and a couple of middling prospects just to get ride of Braun. They want actual value. Braun's still a great hitter.

3:45
Wily Peralta make sense for BAL? What would it take to get him?
Steve Adams
3:45
The Orioles have enough questionable back-of-the-rotation arms.
Manny Ramirez
3:45
I'm still playing!
Steve Adams

(Seriously it's awesome -- I hope Manny absolutely rakes and there are tons of videos posted online)
Matt
3:47
Anything new on Ryan Howard? Where do you think he will sign?
Steve Adams
3:48
I'd imagine he's going to be one of the last of the first base/DH types to sign, and it'll probably be a minor league deal somewhere. Kansas City? (No great reason for that pick, just a team that could use lefty DH/bench bat)
