Now that is a tough question.

Obviously the young successful teams like Edmonton, Toronto and Columbus still have a lot of growth in front of them.

But I'll go off the board for fun and say the Jets.

If they can find a goaltender and avoid injury they should be a lock for the playoffs for the next several years.

With Morrissey, Connor, Roslovic and others they have a bunch of potential all-star talents that no one even talks about.

I'd like to see them go after one of the elite backups, Darling or Grubauer.

In a tandem with Hellebuyck would give them at least average and perhaps better-than goaltending.

If Cam Fowler were to be out with an injury does that make an extension more or less likely?

I don't think it changes it much. Fowler's extension will depend on what the Ducks are able to do this summer with their defense. If they can shed Stoner and move at least one other, Fowler fits long-term. Otherwise, he might be the one that has to move..but this season has shown how good he can be.

Remember that Clarkson's hit counts towards the cap in the offseason, and you have to be compliant when the year starts.

Even if he's obviously going to hit LTIR as soon as the year begins.
