Gavin Lee
6:22
I think he'll decide his future at the deadline.
Inquisitive Minds Want to Know..
6:24
Whats wrong with the Oilers?
Gavin Lee
6:24
The supporting cast isn't good enough.
6:25
But if you were to put a bet on any team to rebound, wouldn't it be the one led by Connor McDavid?
Doc Halladay
6:25
Have you heard of the rumblings about Ekman-Larsson being unhappy in the desert? Seen some things on it but the major players haven’t confirmed(or denied) it.
Gavin Lee
6:26
I have heard about that, and I really don't believe it.
6:27
No one is happy when you're losing.
And OEL had an especially rough personal year last season.
Kyle
6:28
Are the ducks going to carry 3 goalie for a while or will they send berra through waivers soon? Now that miller is healthy
Gavin Lee
6:28
I imagine they'll make a move soon, but honestly Vegas might be scaring them into keeping him.
6:29
If you were VGK, wouldn't you snap him up?
6:30
Teams often carry just 20 skaters anyway for long periods.
Cam
6:30
Is cam Talbot the real deal
Gavin Lee
6:30
Real deal in what way?
A starting goaltender in the NHL? Yes.
An above-average starter? Yes.
An elite starter? No.
6:31
So, 22 scouts are at the Ottawa-Red Wings game.
6:32
Take what that what you will, but it's odd seeing as the NHL is very busy tonight.
12 games on the schedule.
Inquisitive Minds Want to Know..
6:32
Whats wrong with the Penguins?
Gavin Lee
6:32
Their defense isn't good enough when Letang isn't himself.
They'll be there in the end.
Xavathrashius
6:33
What or who do you think the Avs would have to throw in to get what they want for Duchene?
Gavin Lee
6:33
I'm not sure it's really about what they'd need to throw in.
Tough to get a team to give up so much in any trade.
6:34
And there aren't a ton of young top-4 defensemen that aren't untouchable assets.
Inquisitive Minds Want to Know..
6:34
Do you think the long NHL season puts teams who reach the cup finals puts teams at a disadvantage? NSH AND PIT both off to sluggish starts.
Gavin Lee
6:34
Absolutely it does.
6:35
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are one of the hardest grinds in all of sports, and they destroy teams.
Not just the ones who get to the Finals.
Look at Anaheim, who lost Lindholm and Vatanen to surgery as soon as they ended
That said, the long season also lets the best get back to the top by the end of it.
6:36
It's not the first time Pittsburgh has had a sluggish start in the last few years.
Doc Halladay
6:36
This Shipachyov situation is getting weird is it not? Most expected it to be over with on Monday but we’re Thursday and still no resolution. is Vegas really that scared he’ll be claimed off release waivers? I counted I believe 6 teams who could comfortably claim him but all 6 are said to not be that interested in him.
Gavin Lee
6:37
I know Eric Engels reported that they're looking for a guarantee, but I honestly think it has to do more with the paperwork for paying back the signing bonus.
He's back in Russia already.
6:38
I seriously doubt he'll play another game in the NHL this year.
Inquisitive Minds Want to Know..
6:38
Let those 22 scouts at the Ottawa vs Detroit game know that Ken Holland is available
Gavin Lee
6:38
Ha.
