It makes sense for different reasons than it once arguably did, but it is still plausible. Pads won't give up much to get him, but they are well situated to give him a shot at everyday time, and what other org really is?

Hard to produce like that and be a total mirage, but the utter lack of walks is a concern. Other players have had initial success with that kind of profile and then failed to carry it forward. Danny Espinosa, Trevor Story come to mind.
(Not that they are necessarily analogous, really. Just saying: if you can't get on base and force pitchers to throw to you, they have an opening to find your weaknesses and exploit them.)
